Beaverhead Rock - Supposedly looks like a swimming beaver, but we couldn't see it.

The weather was sunny and warm, but later in the day some clouds and wind rolled in. It began to rain as we took out the boat in the afternoon. We sight-casted to some fish in a back-water not far below the dam, with no takers. Then we drifted nymphs, tiny emergers and an ant pattern to large browns and rainbows in a back-eddy and caught a couple nice fish. The water was running about 700CFS, up from 400 CFS a few days before. In the afternoon we found some rising fish in a deep run next to a rocky bank. Some really nice fish were caught on PMD emergers, micro-Mayfly nymphs and small parachute Adams.
